In years past, the rider appreciation race was free of charge.
Why the change???

The same reason why practice is $3 instead of $2...
...inflation!
(whatever)

Actually the hot rumor is that this........

Believe it or don't.

And the Bulls out in the pasture are growing feathers!!!
Then again, that would really be cool to have a covered track.
Didn't mean to sound negative about it!!!
I still think everyone should be looking for a better track surface without pavement!
As a side note, think about the hole at the base of the triple going into the first turn, and don't forget about the loose/unpacked top of the first turn before next years national! Maybe make the 2nd turn a little higher as well. And all that washed down silt on the inside of all the turns!
On that thought; if I didn't say it before, the guys who came out early on Sunday morning to fix that hole at the top of the first turn did a really good job that held up all day!!! I wish someone would have come over and woke me up so I could have helped out!

Any track condition or weather updates out at the track? If anyone in the vicinity could swing by the track to see if there are large pools of standing water on the track it might be an indicator of if we are running or not.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
My wife just talked to someone at the track. She was told that the track is in good condition except for the 3 usual spots that flood. They are going to put plywood over them and cover it in dirt. The rain is supposed to be done by noon. So in short , I heard the races are on !!!

Bruce,
I was actually wondering about that rumor. Over on Vintage, one of the ABA guys (maybe shannon?) was saying that they were hosting a few reps from various cities to see this new facility for possible future builds.
Now if Utah doesn't rank up there at the top for this sort of thing, then who else does? There wasn't much detail of who or what cities would be attending.
I know it is a pretty big dream, but isn't that how it all starts!
