Pre-National Track Prep

Postby FLYNHIGH » Mon Jul 24, 2006 11:43 am

I am just wondering what is going to happen or needs to be done to the track and surrounding area to make everything look great for our guests coming next week?

I heard something about a clean-up day this Saturday, but I have no details yet.

Robert and I will be there early Saturday to assist with the parking lot striping. As for the work on the track we are hoping to get the tower and gate shack patched up and painted, the registration building touched up, finishing on the moto boards, (back sides and painting) and garbage pickup. If anyone has heavy duty weed whackers, please bring them. We could use triming up the west fence. Lots to do and everyones help would be appreciated tremendously.

Dan - Is the county doing the striping?

I will be out at some point with my painting hat on. Any chance kids can ride the track while the parents work?

Curtis,

No, the County isn't involved. One of our wonderful track families (forgive me, I'm having a brain fart on their name) will be running the equipment. There is plenty of other painting you can tackle. :D

As for the kids riding the track, you would have to get with Ron. Honestly I dont beleive that was the plan, but I hadn't heard if the plan changed. I think with us practicing everyday next week basically we weren't going to be allowing practice.

Dan's reply to Curtis' question is correct. With practices next week, no ride was planned for during Sat. work party & none is scheduled with the ABA. Leave the bikes at home & lets focus on getting the place in tip top shape.Hope everyone will understand.
Lets get the local teams to challenge each other to get lots of cleanup done & we can use all racers, parents and sports fans to come out Sat. morning 7am -till.

Thanks Ron
