Rick,

I just wanted to tell you how relieved I am that you are okay. Anytime someone gets injured, it bothers me, but with you going down I have to admit it really affected me.

I'm looking forward to coming in 2nd behind you soon! :)

Thanks Jason!

You know from time to time people (including myself) take things for granted and don't take the time to realize what they have in life (I promise I won't take this too far). As far as BMX, if you are a part of Utah BMX you are part of something bigger than just racing a bike. You really are part of a big family. I had people by my side seconds after I hit the ground. As I laid there, friends immediately were thinking about my boys and what they could do to help. Jake, my oldest was pretty shaking-up by the accident but was taking under the wing of some pretty special people. My two little guys Mike and Wes also received the same type of care. THANKS! Kris, my wife rode in the ambulance with me so we ended up leaving both of our vechicals at the track. Again, friends stepped in and drove my truck and trailer to my house and our car was brought to the hospital for us. It's a great feeling to be part of something so special and I feel very privileged to have such good people in my life.

Thanks again to everyone that help my family and I.

Rick,

I share the same sentiment as many of the others here. Frankly, when I found out it was you and what the possible injury was, I could not even go look. Normally that kind of thing does not bother me that much, but when it is to a friend, and such a general excellent person such as yourself, it really hits home.

I can't begin to tell you how relieved we were to find out is was (only?) a gash! Heal up my friend and see you soon!

HAHHAHA! Thanks for that! I try to check the boards in private but I can't when I'm laughing outloud! :D
