indoor racing this year?

Postby greg » Thu Sep 02, 2004 7:14 am

Hey, anybody know which tracks are racing this winter? I heard that RAD indoor is having a few races, and that Logan is out. How about Tooele this year? Wyoming?

So far I haven't really heard anything concrete. OH, now that's an idea....concrete....shades of BITD....fairgrounds style. lol

I really missed Tooele last winter, as I have always enjoyed going there for some reason. Any chance of it happening this year????

Every time i go to work, I drool over a nice big wharehouse right across Bangerter Highway from me. It's the old Volvo deisel truck place on about 2400 South. It's been empty for a year or so, and man i just know it would be giant inside. To much money to be feasable for a track, but it would be a great place if I had to dream.

Anyway, what's up?

Hey Greg, I pass by the same building, every day, and have the same DREAM! LOL

RAD will DEFINITELY be racing indoor this year, I've heard some tentative dates, but nothing "concrete" as of yet that I'm aware of. As soon as I find something out I will be posting a full schedule here on UtahBMX.com.

I haven't heard anything about Tooele indoor, so I doubt that's happening. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Gotta love the indoor!

GREG WE HAVE 5 WEEKENS THIS YEAR FOR INDOOR RACING WE HAVE THE DATES AND WE ARE PLAN ON LETTING EVERYONE KNOW WHA THOSE DATES ARE ON THE WEEKEND OF OUR STAE CHMPIONSHIP. WE ARE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT RACING INDOOR THIS SEASON, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO WORK OUT A WINTER SERIES RACE BETWEEN WY AND UT THERE IS ONLY ONE WEEKEND THAT INTERFEARS BUT I THINK WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN? SO MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP YOUR LETTERS NEXT WEEKEND, AND MAKE THEM ON YOUR CALENDER. ALSO WHAT DO YOU THINK OF A NEW YEARS EVE RACE?

A new years eve race would be a blast, just make sure that the races end at like, eleven or something. It would be fun if then you held like jumping contests and pit bike races until ten to midnight.

It'd be a blast! :D

I'm very glad to hear that there will be a RAD indoor track again. It's a great facility, which means it's one that I can actually get my wife to go to (a BIG plus).

I think a new years eve race would be great. But, isn't that a no points time? Am I thinking wrong, isn't it from like Dec 15th to Dec 31st is no points? Would it be just a race for fun if this is the case? Not that that would be a bad thing, you could totally have fun mixing things up, so it's not a regular race.

ayway, i like the idea of having "special" races. That doesn't mean they have to be multi point races, but just do something out of the ordinary to keep the excitement alive.

Sounds Great Rob! Thanks for posting those dates!

I plan on creating a special RAD Indoor Racing schedule page to keep everyone updated as to race dates and special events, etc.

Keep an eye out! Should be a great winter indoor season!!!
