The agony of defeat......

Postby J Gallo » Fri Aug 27, 2004 8:58 am

I stand here a broken man. Ok, technically I'm "sitting here a broken man" cause I'm typing at the computer, but you get the idea :)

After having fairly decent success in all my races in the past year, I have failed to make my main in the last 2 races. For some reason sitting in front of my computer and drinking Vanilla Coke all day isn't making me any faster. Go figure!

Now while I sincerely enjoy being Ian's "bridesmaid" each race (ya think I'd look cute in a pink chiffon dress with puffy shoulders? ), it's time to either get serious or become a full time photographer. I'm tired of looking at other guy's butts my entire race.

So on that note, if anyone would like to join me for sprints tonight in the Copper Hills High School parking lot, let me know.

You know how they would hang a carrot out in front of a horse to get him to go? You think that would work for me if I rigged up a picture of Ian's smiling face in front of me?

Why limit this to a single point race on a tuesday nite? I say if we're gonna make this happen, we should do it on State Championship Final Sunday!

And thinking even further, I wonder if it would be possible to have a race on Halloween (or close to Oct 31st) with everyone in costume? Hmmmmm.......

Will I look insanely ridiculous? - You bet!

Will everyone in attendance be laughing? - More than likely....

Bring it on!

A Halloween race is not a new thing, its just weather related. Back in 83'-84' at the old Fairgrounds indoors they used to hold a Halloween race. I remember a gal who had a cape on & the thing just about ripped her head off after it got caught in the back wheel.

now, isn't that the same as Ian's a&& being infront of you the whole race?? That doesn't seem to work too well. lol

I know what ya mean about sitting in front of the computer, though. That is ALL I do all night at work, 8 hours of sitting. It's not good.

Jason all you have to do is easy:

Dig deep, want it more than Ian does, and give it time. It took me QUITE a while to actually start qualifiying, and don't push yourself harder than you can take it.

I did show up at the track last night for about 15 mins. I got home late so couldn't make it to the race on time.

Now, if I had known you had a dress ready for me.... hmmmmm???

Plus, I think it would be funnier during the SCF on Sunday. On a pit bike.

Jason, it'd be a blast to see you in pink.

And don't worry, Dan will probably find a way for you to race pit bikes in the dress. Just have alot of duct tape ready so you won't get that pretty pink lace stuck in your chain.
