Potential New Track

Postby Diesel » Wed Jan 25, 2006 9:56 pm

As some of you may be aware, we had the meeting with the Davis County Fair board tonight. Troy, Rob, Lee, THE MAN himself Tim "Fuzzy" Hall, and myself met the board armed and ready!!!

Folks, I think we sold it!!! I really think we did!!! We all got a positive vibe from the meeting and we just might have a new track in Utah and UT01 at the Davis County Fairgrounds off the Lagoon exit. Say a little prayer for us tonight!!!

We should know something in a few days!!! Stay tuned for further developments!

If this thing happens, we are gonna try and put together some kind of contest to name this new track. Everyone start thinking about a cool track name to enter in the contest! Don't divulge your entry until all the details are worked out!

This thing is gonna be WAY COOL!!! We'll see!

"Build it and they will come"

I agree with Dan, it went very well. The cool thing was, I arrived a little early and drove by the East Arena area (the area we are asking for) and the Fair Park had already removed all the horse stall fencing and opened the area up big time. I closed my eyes and imagined it all coming together.

I fell into a little depression after I broke my arm and was unable to make it to Reno, not to mention Uncle Sam looking to send me away for the entire summer  BUT the cast is off, I'm starting my road to recovery and I may not have to leave after all. I guess staying positive is the way to go. See you all this weekend!

I found out today the board is scheduled to meet again on 14 Feb and a desision will be made at that time. Although we have to wait 2 weeks, I still have a good feeling.

I think some good old fashioned lobbying is in order here. I'll try and find the contact information for the board members the first of next week. The Fairground manager is off till Monday. Anyone interested in playing the lobby game, get with Lee or myself this weekend!
