Dear Utah BMX, I must Resign...

Postby DPBMX » Tue Feb 19, 2013 1:50 pm

This decision did not come easy!! The Deseret Peak BMX track has had a special place in my heart going back 13+ years to when my son Chaz was only eight… It was then that Todd Peterson (orig. T.O.) called on me to announce my first race… In my mind, there was something special about calling the action of my son, and all of our peers!! It helped me discover a talent a didn’t know I had!! and It made BMX fun for me again!
When troubled times hit the U.S. in 2008, it eventually trickled down to county budgets for BMX. In 2010, Tooele County faced those circumstances… that lame news hit a group of bmx friends and I, so we joined together to keep the wheels on the program and DP BMX on the schedule…
Since then, the economy is showing signs of recovery, and some important parts of my life are coming back together… Time constraints in my work schedule will no longer allow me to make the trip to Tooele nearly as often and must turn the controls over to a group that is close by, and do so in a timely manner.
You should feel confident that the program will continue and the tradition will stay healthy!!

A special thanks going out to Steve Henich (Flat Attack Sealant Co.), Scott Price, Mark Kizerian, Keith Archibald, MGD Racing, and my family for being patient with my time!! As you all know, it takes several good people and many good sponsors to make all of this happen… I had it all, and I am forever grateful!!
God Bless Utah BMX, see you at the gate….

Sincerely,

Roland Critchfield

Roland,
Thanks for all the good times racing with my son at Tooele. We always had a great time and you went out of your way to make us feel welcome and a part of the family. Thanks for all your sacrifices to make it happen every week.

Sincerely,
Logan
