On top of just finishing up the 2012 USABMX national season with a well deserved NAG #1 as the top 9 year old on the country and National #5 overall against all boys in points the Cannonball just became an elite member of the 20,000 point club!
Lots of dedication and tremendous support from the parents to make this happen.
Congratulations Jack on an AMAZING season!

Way cool. Its awesome to see the nice little kid who plays flies up football between motos dominating at the Grands, getting the NAG #1, #5 Amateur, and getting two page spreads in Pull. Way to go Jack!

Re: Congratulations Jack Kelly!!!
I once looked up who was in the 20k club from Utah. Fazzio did it in the mid-00's & I can't remember who or how many, but it seems to me that there were probebly less than 5 total since the ABA went to the current earned points table in 1984.
Huge accomplishments across the board, congrats!

Huge accomplishment for a great kid. Fazzio did it in 2003 with 20,230 or so but that's it for Utah. In fact, if you look through the list there are very, very few on it from non sun-belt states. Looks like the high was 34,490! That's 340 single point expert wins in a year. And I thought Clift was a points whore! The other crazy thing off that list is that there are a number of kids who went over 20,000 and ended up district #2 or #3.
Let's root for jack to win a national #1 in the coming years as I think that's the only title he hasn't won yet

I'm sure that one is coming soon enough Alvey. Jack has one heck of a drive and a desire to win. And it doesn't seem to hurt that he's having a blast doing it.

Alvey,
Where you able to find the 80's & 90's points records? I can't find them on the current USA site. Anyways, I think there were a couple more riders that hit 20k in the late 80's early 90's, I just can't remember who. Gary Gines & Alisha Fox?
I'd like to ask Jacks Dad if you averaged out the points over the season, how often did he race per week/month?
