Racing Red Bull Rampage Weekend at Zion BMX!

Hey everyone!

Come join us for Double Points weekend October 5th and 6th.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be having a Friday night single points pre race with Registration from 5:30-6:30 with racing ASAP. Then on Saturday, we will be having a fun day with a BBQ, along with other fun activities since Red Bull Rampage will not allow spectators on Saturday. We will allow for RV parking in our parking lot for $10 daily or $25 for Fri-Sun. (Please keep in mind that we do not have RV Hookups.) We will then have a Saturday night race with registration from 4:30-6:30. We are still working out details, but we are trying to get some vendors out there, as well as a DJ and fun activities for everyone. We still need volunteers to help with registration, announcing, corner officials, staging, etc so let me know if you are able to come and help out. We are working with Will over at High Knees Cycling in St George to build some dirt jumps to have a demo sometime on Saturday also.

It is going to be a fun weekend, so come down and race and be close to Red Bull Rampage so you can go watch that also!

Yes!! Practice EVERY Tuesday night from 5:30-7:30 pm, Racing every Saturday night 5:30-6:30 pm registration.

A few friends and I were down a Virgin this last weekend.

The track is amazing. In a word: SMOOTH. Definitely my new favorite course in Utah. The obstacles are very different from Rad, Legacy, and Tooele. The track certainly encourages jumping, but most of the obstacles aren't terrifying to try to jump for the first time. The turns are all big berms with lots of room for passing. The rhythm section rollers have an excellent radius that you can really pump some speed out of.

The track operators are great. The only negative was the turn out. Only 5 motos Saturday night. I hope they can build up some support and rider participation to keep a great thing going.

If you are looking for a great weekend get away, I recommend going to visit Zion BMX and the National Park next door this winter. I know I will be certainly going back.
