Legacy Raceway Track Build and Schedule Aug 20-24

Postby JAlvey » Sun Aug 19, 2012 6:02 pm

The Davis County Fair is over and we get our arena back Monday Aug 20th along with more than a little new dirt.

Track build will start Aug 20th with the big equipment placing the gate and building some long-needed turns. We will be in need of help with hand work on Wed Aug 22 and Thurs Aug 23. If you are driving from a distance, please contact Kevin Dilley or Justin Alvey prior to coming up to see if we are ready.

With the track build going on, there will be no clinic on Monday and no Practice on Wednesday. We do plan on racing on Friday the 24th at the standard time, but keep an eye here and on our Facebook page as that race is dependent on getting the track finished.

After racing for the rest of the season, Station Park (the mall next to the track) is having a summer/ fall concert series at the newly finished fountain plaza. There are 3-4 new restaurants that have just opened there as well.

Look for some exciting announcements coming up regarding an extended fall outdoor schedule and our Legacy Indoor Series starting in October.

The build is moving along, but with only 2 people working on the track, things are behind a bit. If anyone is available to help with hand work/raking wed night or thursday night or during the daytime on friday, please come on by.

Legacy will be racing on Friday the 24th. We will extend practice a bit (530-730) so that the track can get packed in and people can get used to the new track.
