District Boundaries

Postby uranium » Sat Feb 11, 2012 11:25 am

Hi,
I just began racing last year and since we live in Moab, we raced in Grand Jucntion Colorado. But I just got my district ranking and I am UT District 3. What area is covered in District 3 and which track/s?
Thanks,
Marshall Hannum

Hopefully someone will come along soon that can more accurately answer the question about the actual boundaries.

I can tell you that the two tracks in District 3 are Redhills BMX in Richfield and Virgin River in St. George. Redhills Indoor is technically a third, but only runs during the winter months in Salina.

Welcome to our little, Ok so maybe it's not so little, BMX family. Make sure you introduce yourself when you make it to any of our tracks. I race 36-40 Intermediate, and tend to race at Rad Canyon in South Jordan due to the fun track, the great atmosphere and the close proximity to my house. I try to make it to Deseret Peak in Toole, and Legacy Raceway in Farmington, and Redhills in Richfield as often as possible because they share the same traits as Rad Canyon, with the small exception of being in close proximity to my house.

The Track Operators all run great programs and you should have a great time racing at any of them.

Good luck and I hope to meet you soon.

Welcome! Ditto to the two posts above. We hope you will feel welcome in our great Utah BMX family. I race 36-40 Inter with Joker75. I also have 3 young sons racing. It is wonderful family fun. We have great racing, great sportsmanship, great fun, and, most importantly, great people. We would love to have you come up and join us whenever you can.

Uranium,
Just a word of caution, if you do decide to make the trek to race Rad Canyon, and have the fortune/misfortune to be in the 36-40 Intermediate class, watch out for Chris in the turns. He is a great guy off the track, but not so nice in the turns.

Just playing Chris. No hard feelings. I hope I didn't cause any damage or leave any tread marks, riding over you in Friday's Main.

Keep her upright and I'll take a few shots at you in the turns next weekend to even things up.

No worries Hal. All in good fun. The tread marks are just about gone and, besides, deserved them all by not staying on my bike. Looking forward to this weekend's races. See you in the gate.

Hi and thanks for all the great information. I race in the 41-46 age group, cruiser. I have two girls that are six and 10 years old and both are also racing. So far we haven't made it to any Utah tracks, but I'm sure we will be heading over to Red Hills to get some points at the Redline Cup qualifier in March. I hope some of you old goats can come race and we can get acquainted.

welcome Uranium. Moab is my favorite place to be. You'd be blown away at our great scene up here in SLC. It's worth the drive.

We welcome you to District 03, and hope to see you at our races in March and April.. Our outdoor season will start in May.. Before we started the track we used to drive to Grand Junction a lot. That is a great track with lots of great riders and friendly people.
If you have any questions about our schedule, give us a call... 435-201-9116..
