there was another young man who rode like that as a kid his name was kris park. kp was unbeatable as a gromlet. jack dont give up. i know it costs bank to be competitive. 7x is three weeks away at reno. go out there and show them why you are the fastest and dont look at the ground you did nothing wrong. you protected your self and rode hard made ur family proud and all of us from utah.

I agree with Dans assessment of the situation. As unfortunate as it is, Jack moved over too quickly and did not need to do so. I feel really bad about saying this because I know Jack is the best there is in the 6X class, but the call was spot on. If he would have just waited another foot or two to move over this discussion would not even be happening.

That being said, Jack is a shining star in BMX and in the long-team this will only be a minor setback in what could be very significant and long term career.

all the vids are up on www.go211.com

For the 6x main, the youtube photo shows things better, but on go211, you can see that jack definitely did not touch the kid in gate 7's front wheel. From the view on 211, it's hard to tell if he moved over before the 30' as well. Either way, if he's already 1 bike length in front of the kid (and gaining), I'm not sure how you could ever say he "impeded the other riders progress"

I agree with Justin!!! Maybe not a bike length but it sure doesn't look like he impeded anyone to me! I've seen this very thing many times. In Hubert's defense, it's hard to see that mess in the split second it happens!!! I've said my piece about video review. NFL Football went with it for the same reason.

I think Jack got the Gaff on this one folks!

Cruisers still not up on GO211. Waiting to see Danny's race.

In looking at the Go211 video, Jack flat-out won that race with no possibility of a DQ. I guess that just goes to show the problems with the 30 ft. rule. In any case, the fastest kid in that class right now is Jack, and a NAG plate costs a buck or so to produce. He is definitely the kid to beat moving forward. Good luck to all parents and kids who wish to challenge this assessment.

i wonder how many 6 yr olds conceptualize 30 ft. your ahead of the person from a perrifiral view which would mean you are ahead right other wise you would remain in progress the way you were so not to hit the other person. hes ahead so this means he cant chose to go where he wants. the vide shows. lame call really lame call. the shortest distance is a straight line if your ahead to where you are not interfering with the others progress cuz your faster than the other then why cant you go where you want. 30 feet for kids should really be judge at a 6 yr old level not a aa pro level.
