Rad Canyon BMX Press Release – November 9, 2009

Rad Canyon BMX announces the addition of a Ladies Pro-Am race and new indoor event sponsor Standard Wood Supply of Salt Lake City.

The Utah BMX racing scene is rapidly growing as seen in its large racer and spectator turn outs during the outdoor and now in the freshly kicked off indoor season. The number of female participants has experienced a great deal of growth and Rad Canyon BMX with the help of Standard Wood Supply has upped the ante for the fast-femmes by putting together a Lady Pro-Am on Sunday November 22nd. Standard Wood Supply has stepped up as the weekend sponsor as well as tossed in a hefty $150.00 in cold-hard cash for the fastest ladies in the intermountain west to chase after. On top of that they have added another $50.00 to the pot for the men’s Pro-Am pot and they challenge others to donate to the exciting race. There will be more money being rounded up the much anticipated event so big bucks will be up for grabs!

The Ladies and the Men’s Pro-Am races are open to all ABA registered racers over the age of 14. Entry fee to enter the Pro-Am’s is $10.00. All participants who qualify for the main event will be taking home a chunk of change so if you are 14 or older and think you are fast, load up in the gate on the 22nd. With the ABA Grand Nationals running the following weekend this will be a great opportunity for those looking to get in some last minute valued practice and racing.

Standard Wood Supply of Salt Lake has been serving the Salt Lake City area for over 15 years. They offer only the finest woods for all your wood burning needs and are conveniently located at 155 1/2 West 3300 South in Salt Lake City. They offer everything for the largest of firewood needs to camping or emergency bundles which are available at many convenience store locations throughout Northern Utah. They also provide woods for smoking such as Oak, Apple, Cherry and Mesquite, supplying some of Utah most notable BBQ restaurants. Give them a call today at (801) 485-WOOD (9663) for all your Firewood needs.

Rad Canyon BMX runs one of the country’s most successful and family fun-filled racing programs with events averaging well over 200 racers and is experiencing significant growth at each event. Racers range from beginner to expert and ages 2 to 62 lending to its motto “No one rides the bench”. Indoor Pro-Am Racing this weekend!!! I heard Rock Springs was AWESOME!!! Congrats to my main man Mitch Ropelato!!! That kid ROX!!!
For the upcoming weekend (Nov. 20, 21, 22) Mist-ified will throw in a Portable Mist System to the winner of both classes and a Mini-Mister to all main event qualifiers ($360.00 Retail Value)
Also, I'll make a point to stop into a few local businesses and round up some gift certificates for the Pro-Am's and the 50/50...

The challenge is out to all other Utah BMX related businesses!!! who's companies can throw in a few $25 dollar gift certificates??? or a hundred cash??? This is going to be a memorable weekend!!!
Keep the rubber side down and git er' done!!
