Something to keep in mind was that during the battle which was spearheaded by the mayor's daughter, it was decided we had the legal right to be at the Twin Peaks location, as we existed before the homes were built and we probably could have won the fight, but Pat saw that if we stayed, there would probably always be a battles and that would certainly effect or chances to hold larger events.

Numerous racers showed up at county and city meetings and the neatest part of it all, was that all of the kids, from young 5 year olds to teens ,represented themselves in such positive ways talking about what BMX had taught them that it impressed the county commissioners in a big way. They all gave brief profiles of themselves, talking about things such as grades and education, and how BMXers were high achievers in all that they do.

The county offered us an opportunity and assistance in the way of large amounts of funding , equipment to rebuild, and land which gave us a far better facility than we ever could have at Twin Peaks. We knew that if we took this opportunity that we could host nationals again and potentially have 2 tracks on the same grounds. It was the right decision in my mind and Pat was a great politician as well as T.O, Thanks Pat!
