Idaho or Colorado on June 6/7/8?

Postby JAlvey » Mon May 26, 2008 2:44 pm

On the weekend of June 6/7/8 there is a double/double/triple at Kuna/ Mountain home Idaho and there is also a single/3x double at the tracks in Olathe/Grand Jxn/Montrose.

Is anyone going to either? Which tracks are more fun? Anyone have an advice on either of these?

Well I may be a little biased (beings that I live in Kuna) but we sure would love to see our Utah buddies come over to Idaho and race with us  If you wanted to make it a bigger week of it you could start wednesday at Kuna single, Thursday in Caldwell single, Friday in Boise RFL single, then do the dbl dbl trip on the weekend. All of our tracks are completely different and if you want to check them out we have video of three of them on our website right now. Just hit the link in the pictures tab on our site. Kuna is Indian Creek (or ICBMX) and Mountain Home is Rocky Top. Mountain Home really went to town this year and sifted all the rocks out of their dirt and concreted the 180 corners. Their track is very technical and alot of fun. Kuna is our fastest track and slightly downhill with all three corners paved. The Boise track has a similar layout to your indoor track with the big sweeping 1st corner. We just recently revamped the 2nd and third straightaways and the tight corners and made everything smoother and a little bigger. Caldwell is a brand new track built by Billy Allen and is very long (1500 feet) and has a good mix of technical and speed but if I'm right Rad Canyon is a long track as well so you guys should click right in to it. If you come you can camp at the Boise track. You can contact Darrell and Diane Wilson at (208) 388-4574 or dianskee@netzero.net and they can get you set up there which is a good central location to all the tracks. Or if you want hotels, the ones in east Boise by the airport are the most central to the tracks. I will be getting a map (hand drawn) of all the tracks up on our site soon that will hopefully make it easier to get around. So we hope to see you all soon. :D
Todd

p.s. Sorry that was so long

Greg and Nick raced the State Championship in Montrose last year and absolutely loved their track. Steve Spencer built it last spring and the track was great. We also read that they were improving their facility with more bleacher seating and a cover on their starting hill. They had great people and great fun. We have only raced in Idaho Falls so I don't know alot about Idaho's tracks.
