I doubt I could even make it out of the gate anymore on flats. If we run no clips, then it should be open face helmets also.

Steve, you know as well as I that changing it to a no-clips race would eliminate 80% of the potential racers.

Wusses!

Heck yeah Justin! Break out all of the old school gear! My pants probably wont fit but I will try :P

If you race Pro Am or 20", it ends up that way usually anyhow. We shouldn't let Dallas use that as an excuse....

I heard a rumor of a bunch of old experts coming back to race the RFL.

(Tim Thompson)
(Cortney Green)

I will be there but not certain whether I want to race 20" or Cruiser.

For those who don't know these guys............

Tim Thompson, Super fast, super skilled. Another Kris Park, Mitch Ropelato type racer.

Courtney Green, Former #1 (94-95'ish) district. Turned A-Pro, then was a founder of the famous 39th street trails. Became an awesome trails rider. Left the scene due to injury & family life.

I'm sure both these guys, esp. Tim can still get in on on the track. That's the great thing about the RFL. Not only does it help out a good cause, it seems to bring out faces that you only see in a blue moon.
Rumor also has it that Dave Hoffman & Rich Hardy might make an appearance.

Tim still has what it takes to bake those cakes. He raced the indoor a few times a couple of years ago and he still rides his bike daily.

I heard Courtney still gets out once in a while and can still put on a flow-show so he wont be hurtin' much.

Bruce, when was the last time you raced two classes at one race? Might have to break out the time machine to figure that one out :P

Hey, 1983 called, they want their quotes back.

Alvey, your just too nice of a guy for you to get in the mud & start slinging it.

BTW, I think the last time I raced two classes was last year at all the No-Clips races. You know, the races that you have to ride on platform pedals & takes a very well-rounded rider to still compete on.

... and it was you who called me Bruce :P
Like I said... break out the time machine.

I am making my predictions for the old guy cruiser open main:
1. Brandon Smith
2. Jason Melton
3. Jonas Harmon
4. tie - Justin Alvey
4. tie - Dallas Edwards
6. Beau Mahaffey
7. Bruce Ritter
8. Steve Spencer * DQ'd for cutting over on Bruce before the 30' mark.

There will be some great racing to get to the main but it wont be coming from me. Burnt my clutch out in Reno from running a little rich on Saturday night and now trying to blow the carbon out.

I still think you guys are wusses!

I can name at least 5 guys that could/would finish in front of me, Samms, Bryan Oblad, Jamie Hicks, Mike Kelly, Ian Elliot, Rick Eglintine,....the list goes on. I just might have to re-gear my bike though from the 40-17 I'm pushing right now.

The word on the street is Jumpin' Jerry Vanderpool is coming PLUS you guys seem to forget the fastest 40 yr. old in the state might race in this. If he does everybody else will be racing for 2nd place.

This ought to be fun.
