Re: I-Street difficulty?

Thanks guys. I went and rode I-Street today and had alot of fun. The step-up in the ravine is so much fun. It was in pretty rough shape, so next time i'll try to remember to take a shovel. Maybe it's because its still early in the year. I'll be going back soon though!

I-Street difficulty?

Can anyone tell me what skill level I-street requires. I haven't ridden trails for years, so I'm wanting to find some to help me ease back into the feel of trails. I've been to Tanner Park, and i'm pretty sure i'd be nailing my own coffin if they were the first trails i'd tried to ride in years. Tha...

Re: Random start cadence is coming in 2011.

That's great news! I think the random start cadence is such a good idea and will make things a little more exciting. I actually wish we could start using it this upcoming outdoor season.

Re: RC #4 Poll Q. Track feedback.

Even though the roller slowed things up a bit, I still felt on the verge of a washout every time I went around the first turn. The track was less technical than in the past, with the dirt going to the first turn I assume. I'd take an even less technical track if it meant a safer (taller) first turn....

Re: indoor track layout ideas???

I think taking dirt from any other part of the track to add to the first berm is worth it. Every time I've ever taken the first turn during an indoor race i'm just bracing myself for a washout.

Re: Cities in Utah that should have an ABA BMX track.

Here's my two cents on what's been discussed here; I think the city that could benefit the most from a track is St. George. I grew up in St. George and started racing in 1995. The closest track was Nellis BMX in Vegas, so every weekend it was an hour and a half drive each way for my parents to hit t...

How To Check Wins???

Does anyone know the best way to find out exactly how many wins I have. I'm wondering how many wins I have going towards advancement to expert. Can I find this out somewhere on the ABA website, or can one of the ladies at the track tell me? Please let me know if anyone knows. Thanks!

Re: Indoor Build Help

I would love to come help. Should I just show up or do we need to coordinate with someone? I've never raced the winter series before. Is the track torn down and rebuilt for every race weekend?

haha

Amen to that. Not only do skate helmets offer next to nothing when it comes to protection on the track, but they're also the stupidest looking helmets you can pair up with your race gear. Let's hope everyone watches the video and takes the message to heart!

.

Well the first two turns are the only ones that really need it. I guess doing the third would be for looks mostly. Not only are the turns going to be a million times better now, but the rest of the track will be in better shape too since the maintenence crew will be able to give more attention to th...

carpool to DP anyone???

Thanks for the info! I live in Sandy, right off of 90th and I-15. If anyone is going to DP for the race this Saturday and has room in their vehicle let me know. It would make more sense with how much gas is costing. Thanks!
