Based off of the advice and experiences shared, I'll be riding flats.... forever. It's nice to know that not everyone is laughing at me in their heads for staying with flats.

At what point/skill level is it a good idea to switch to clipless? I'm asking on behalf of myself. Balancing at the gate with ease is a must... but what else?

I went last night, got my butt kicked. We had 7 riders, 6 going to the main.... guess who was the odd man out. :cry: We had 2 female riders in the group. They made minced meat out of me. One highlight was that I'm doing loads better on balancing in the gate. I raised my seat a bit, and lost 14 lbs. ...

Are the state qualifiers limited to Saturday, or does Friday count as well?
