Re: thinking about a pump track in the backyard...
That looks like a lot of fun, Steve. It would definitely be a good idea to speak with a lawyer regarding liability issues. The ones I have spoken with have basically said that even with waivers, it is difficult to protect yourself from being sued by someone who gets hurt on your property. Even if yo...

Re: Small Concern (regarding rules)
Tony, I agree with what you seem to be saying. It's not that you expect the younger/ newer racers to be DQ'd for something that they may not realize is against the rules, or may not consider the implications, especially at a local race. I can tell you that a couple of years ago, my son was competing...

Bruce, Unfortunately, they are going to get the information from somewhere regardless of whether you are on facebook, twitter, or any other form of social media. They are collecting information from Verizon and most likely every other wireless provider, so anyone with a cellular phone is just as vul...

Re: Another idea from B's big brain.
That looks like a blast. After seeing Robby and Tommy triple some of the stuff they have on track, I can only imagine where the lines would make it. I'm pretty sure I'd spend most of the event as a spectator, as I'm positive that I'd be out long before it got anywhere near the 37 foot mark, like pro...

Re: Deseret Peak news.
I'm sorry to hear that we are most likely losing DP. We have a lot of great experiences there and are sad to see it go. With the addition of Legacy and Redhills in the last few years the BMX scene has been growing by leaps and bounds, so it is unfortunate that we are now losing tracks.

Re: 26" Carbon wheels. Reynolds vs. Enve.
Mike and Cody Kelly have been running Enve for a while now and seem to be happy with them. I believe Kevin Dilley is also running a set of Enve rims on his 26" DJ/ race bike and they don't seem to be holding him back in the least. If my aging memory serves me correctly, I believe Ropelato is al...

Congratulations Mat. All that hard work and bike time if paying off. It's great to see you running up front where you belong.

Re: R.I.P. Mike Sleater.
Thanks for straightening me out Bruce. I enjoy learning about all of the people who have been instrumental in helping the Utah BMX scene become the great program it is today. From our chats in the past, I realize that you know just about everyone and everything there is to know about BMX in Utah. I ...

Re: R.I.P. Mike Sleater.
I apologize for the confusion Bruce. I'm a late comer to the BMX scene so it's hard to keep track of all the Mikes.

Bruce, is this the Mike I have had discussions with here and on Vintage. If it is, he contacted me the other day on Vintage. I sent him a few messages and never received a response. My condolences to his family and friends. As rough as he came off on the forums, he definitely cared about the Utah BM...

I completely understand. It's always a blast regardless. As long as we're all having fun, and pushing each other to do the best we can, I'm good with wherever I end up in the pack.

Re: Go-Pro vid footage from RC Indoors.
Hal, Yes I do have it but I have no way of posting it right now. Our pc's both need upgrades before I can upload stuff from my GoPro. Kevin did all of these on his Mac. I have watched it & it's pretty good. b. That's great. I 'll patiently wait for it to get posted. Ok. I lied, I'm not so good ...

Bruce, Any chance you got any footage of our semi in the 30+ open? I would really like to get a different perspective on the group going into that first turn. Let me know here, or you can just send it to me at hgaerte@msndotcom.

Thanks Bruce, and all of the fast guys and Gals for letting me play bikes with you. It was a great time, and a great way to judge how much work I have to be able to hang with you. I can't wait until the next chance to race you all.
