Reminiscing

Well, been laid up for a few weeks now just riding the mattress with major leg pain. Like nothing I have ever experienced in my life. Come to find out a have a ruptured disk in my lower back causing nerve impingement. Anyway, none of that matters. After the back surgery, I've been laying here thinki...

Just checking in

Hey guys and gals,

Just checking the site to see whats up and thought I'd say hello.

Not much action on the board anymore, huh.

Good to see some of the old names, though.

Take care and hope to see some of you soon.

Re: Here's that classic Paulie Lange pic.

Paulie must be made of rubber to not have gotten hurt on that landing. Still must of had a pretty good pucker factor when he realized he wasnt going to make it. The clip pedal stuck on his shoe reminds me of a digger Spencer took when he was younger. I have to laugh every time I think of it. It was ...

Re: Rad Canyon Indoor #3 Build Assistance

shoot, if it were me building a track (I know...ha ha....me building a track...funny one), I'd put a flat hair-pin turn that you actually had to use brakes for. I know most of you racers dont know what a brake is, but it is actuated by that little hanlde on your bars next to your hands. Just once in...

Re: UCI championships at Rad Canyon

well, I dont really think I meet any of Steve's criteria, but I would be interested in at least heading up an exploratory committee to ascertain the feasibility of such a project. My idea wasn't really to set up a permanent SX track, or even really to set up an SX track at all. Maybe something that ...

Re: UCI championships at Rad Canyon

This is HUGE if the schedule is correct. It does show Rad Canyon as having a class 3 and class 5 on both the USAC and UCI sites, so I think it's going to happen. The continental championships are worth a ton of UCI points for the elites. For comparisons sake..... national championships are class 6=3...

ABA/UCI races on TV

Anybody been watching the ABA UCI Continental races on Vs.? Any reactions? I've watched all 3 that have aired so far and think they are doing a bang up job. You can definately tell that the announcers as well as the riders are getting more comfortable doing the show. It's very cool seeing racing bac...

anybody need a job?

Cricket Communications will soon be hiring an entry level cell site technician. They're not quite to the job posting stage, but I thought I'd give the BMX community a heads up to see if there is any interest. The job would entail performing periodic maintenance and troubleshooting of Cricket's cell ...

Re: Intermediate posing as Novice?

without knowing the specifics, it sounds like your sons class was combined with the intermediates. Is there any chance of that?

Other then that, I cant think of any way a racer could stay novice with 20 or so wins in class.
