15 seconds of fame- (almost)

Postby JasonStout » Wed Jun 09, 2004 12:38 pm

So there I was, in class learning about critical pedagogy and antiracist education when my cell phone rings. It was Rob Passey! He left me a message saying I (or at least my cool specialized "Y" bike) was featured on the ababmx.com pic of the day. Rick Lowry, I believe, is the one eclipsing my grace and style over the obstacle at the Bakersfield national.

Do you remember the movie Monster's Inc. when scully was on TV but stuff keeps getting in his way- but somehow he doesn't seem to mind. Well I kinda felt like that.

It's true- everyone does get 15 seconds of fame!

Go and check it out!

www.ababmx.com pic of the day for June 9, 2004.

Thanks for letting me toot my own horn!

Peace!

Hey Stout,

I added that pic in your message for you. I'll post a link to it from the main page of UtahBMX.com when I get home :!:

Congrats! Another Utah rider gets the photo of the day!

Corrections...

Ok Jason- nice try, but thats not the picture! Maybe it was yesterday's pic. They changed the pic in the afternoon to this mag cover. I don't know what happened to it.

Other correction- Mike was the monster, I think Scully is on X-files or something!-LOL

I guess the ABA decided to change the image on their site, but now I have it hosted on mine and it's good to go!
