Help needed for New Rider Podcast (kids, adults, etc)
Hey everybody. Jason and I are planning a training video for new riders. We need some help. Let me know if you'd like to be involved and help out.
People needed:
- one or two people to pose as a mom or dad.
- 4 kids in costumes who can fill out their registration card by themselves. You bring your own costume. It could be as simple as a shirt that says superman on it.
- two or three registration/staging people (act out registration, as well as staging).
Let me know if you're interested in participating. We are currently trying to film this on Feb 18th around noon, but this is not yet set in stone.

Re: Help needed for New Rider Podcast (kids, adults, etc)
Here's a basic outline:
Podcast for Noobs #2
have 4 kids dress up in recognizable costumes (batman, superman, princess jasmine, zombie, whatever).
film them going through the registration process. Batman, superman, and Jasmine are already aba members, but zombie is new. film zombie going through the new rider registration.
Then show what batman, superman, and jasmine had to do to register. Introduce the reg card and explain what info should go there.
Then explain that the registration goes into a computer, and the moto sheets come out of the computer.
Then show a moto sheet with batman, superman, jasmine and zombie's names on it. Explain the moto sheet and what each part of it means.
Walk over to staging and have the four kids stage. (It'd probably be best to film this during a clinic, and have our finish line ladies help act out what they do to ensure people are in the right gate.)
Keep flashing back to the moto sheet as they line up. Make the visual connection with the moto sheet to show what happens in real life.
Get them in the gate.
fake race for fun, and have Jasmine win.
podcast for noobs #3
explain that the next round of motos depends on who qualified in the previous round. Since jasmine won the first qualifier, she isn't allowed to be in the second qualifier. Show jasmine finishing first, followed by the other 3. Then show what staging looks like for round 2 (everyone except jasmine).
Then see who qualifies for the main (zombie and superman.) Batman finishes last and doesn't make the main.
Then show them staging at the main, and mention that batman isn't there because he didn't qualify.
Then explain that the person who wins the main is the winner (even though jasmine won the 1st qualifier, and zombie won the 2nd qualifier, whoever wins this race is the "winner.")
Film a fake race, maybe have a fun crash or something.
have superman win. Explain why he won and not the other two, even though they already beat him before.
Podcast for noobs #4
explain the points that zombie, jasmine, and superman won from the last race.
I know it's cheesy to use the costumes, but it serves a few purposes:
1) these characters are so familiar with everyone that we don't have to worry about people getting confused with who is who.
2) it's fun for the kids in the film
3) it's fun for the kids watching
Anyway, those are my basic ideas.

Count me in for whatever you need.
Maybe we could simplify and have colors rather than costumes, Red rider, Blue Rider, etc..
I have connections to racers & a finish line lady as well...

excellent. Colors may work better, great idea.

I think it's a great idea to use adults if we can't get enough kids.

Collin and I can help. Although he can't quite fill out a registration form by himself.
